WCC member Robert Kratzat won the non-rated 2014 Holiday Invitational Tournament in December with a score of +2-0=2. Mr. Kratzat was awarded a 1st round half point bye as is custom for club players involved in the club championship semi-finals. He succeeded in scoring two wins and a 3rd round draw against invitee Andrew Colwell, who scored +2-0=1 to claim 3rd place. The Holiday Invitational Tournament traditionally invites local area non-member chess players to the club. The cross table follows:
